Dream big, little heroes.

Insight: There’s an underrepresentation of BIPOC characters in adolescent literature and kids who see themselves in limited representations, limit themselves.

Idea: Kindle Kids will help bridge the gap of representation and uplift diverse voices in children's literature.

OOH Filters

AR Kindle.gif

Outdoor installations will bring larger-than-life Kindles to playgrounds, where AR filters will allow kids to see themselves as part of select book covers.

This will both engage kids and spotlight children’s books that prominently feature BIPOC characters.

Kids and parents can also tap on the screen to get a sneak peek of the first few pages of each book.

Heroes Rewritten Program

Kids will work with celebrated BIPOC authors to help polish their stories for The Heroes Rewritten collection. These narratives will be published in the Kindle Kids Library helping to showcase equitable representation in children's literature.
